Depeche Mode, Goodnight Lovers
single, Mute thro EMI


I'm not sure whether Depeche Mode should be congratulated or castigated
for graduating (at least partially) from the pounding synth angst of
olden years. It's good they have developed. On the other hand, the old
stuff did (and still does) sound very good.


This is a single off Exciter and there will be an accoustic version of
When the Body Speaks, an Electrocat remix of Dead of Night and an Isan
remix of Goodnight Lovers. The review copy only has Goodnight Lovers.
The song is almost sweet with fairly sparse bass and instrumentation.
