Morelenbaum2/Sakamoto:Casa LP, Sony This is a difficult one for the marketeers. It's not classical. It's most definately not pop or dance. Bossa Nova? That's world isn't it? Yup, genres are annoying. Anyway, this is being marketed as chill, and I suppose it is in that there is no heaviness anywhere, but it's chill for the cocktail set I'd say. It is nice... beautifully played and sung and smooth as a daquiri. A clue here is that every song (except for a one track jam) is by Antonio Carlos Jobim who wrote The Girl from Ipanema. So get out the Getz and Gilberto and make an evening of it. (pop goes fred)
