Squarepusher, Go Plastic album, WarpI'm not sure how to describe the line that divides mindless, uninteresting meandering from something that actually connects and is meaningful in some way. The line is personal, naturally, but there are some things that just about everybody except the purposefully contrary agrees is ... boring! Just about everyone agrees that Squarepusher are on the right side of the line with Go Plastic. Pretty beats, melodies that come and go before you get sick of them, changing textures, and a deft hand at tweaking vocal samples make this CD very cool listening. (thunderfinger)
