hardware: Mission Electric Motorbike

There are a few companies that are putting together electric battery powered motorbikes at the moment. California-based Mission is working on something a bit more ambitious than a getting-around bike. For one thing, it does 150mph. And for another it has a range of around 150 miles. To put that in perspective, a "normal" electric bike at the moment seems to get about 55mph and a 60 mile range if you take it easy on the throttle ("gas" doesn't do it here).

The bike is not in full production yet but later in 2009 is the target with deliveries starting in 2010 from the San Francisco manufacturing facility.
