art: decor: Katja Wiedemann
Katja (pronounced Katya) Wiedemann was a house artist for the famous German pottery works, Meissen. These days she operates her own business in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. On her premises she creates tiles, wallpaper, friezes, and materials. The patterns, which look traditional in some way but, in fact, are not and are created by Katja and are produced in Photoshop and then printed onto the material surfaces on the premises.
Katja also does expressive paintings which can be seen in her shop but are not shown here. The examples we show are a selection from the decor range which can be had on tiles, paper, or material.
