This is a traditional setting of various carols by The Bach Choir, Choristers of Winchester Cathedral, The Wallace Collection and featuring Robert Johnson (tenor) and Jane Watts (organ) and conducted by David Hill.
The carols are taken from Novello's volume of forty-seven carols and anthems, Noel. These include traditional and more modern carols and the setting is quite lush composed as it is of the Bach Choir and the Winchester choristers together with the trumpets, trombones, tuba and percussion of the Wallace Collection.
There are words for the carols in the booklet with the CD and all in all this CD will delight anyone who likes traditional carols. There are lots of nice descants too!
