In the Vilsbøl de Arce A/W collection 2009, WOVEN ARMOUR, the characteristic macro-weaving technique creates a closed and strong yet flexible construction with subtle associations to early armour. Bands and padded rolls of natural textile and leather are intertwined and braided to create rhythmic intersections. For the first time, Vilsbøl de Arce includes menswear, suits and knitted styles in their collection. The Copenhagen-based design duo Vilsbøl de Arce work within fashion, art and design. Their projects range from avant-garde fashion and interior decoration of Michelin-starred restaurants to conceptual uniforms and performance art costumes.
